What is Privilege Motions?


#It is a notice -by any member of either House (of a state legislature or Parliament), against anyone -who are accused of breach of privilege.


>Privilegecertain rights & immunities provided to MPs, MLAs and MLCs, individually & collectively.

>breach of privilege and is punishable under law of Parliament or the state legislature.


>Punishment- suspension or fining.


>In any of houses  a privilege motion can be moved. 

>Each of the two houses, Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha, has their separate privilege committees.




Que- A privilege motion can be moved by- 

Ans- Any parliamentarian (member of parliament) against anyone accused of breaching parliamentarians' privileges.
